Loading and Saving documents in EHTML follows the same principle as most programs, in that until you save changes, the document is not preserved on disk. The document changed icon (red disk) is shown in the toolbar whenever a change is made, and the document is saved when this is clicked, so you can always be aware when a document needs saving - the second disk icon saves all open documents when clicked.
Normally the first entry point to a web site is called INDEX.HTM or INDEX.HTML - it really does not matter whether it ends in HTML or just HTM.
Sometimes your web hosting company may tell you to call this entry page DEFAULT.HTM and if your server allows ASP pages, then it is probably OK to use DEFAULT.ASP
If in doubt you will need to see help from your hosting company, but try the above first.
Normally when you first visit a web site you are provided with a URL such as http://www.megagraphix.org
To go to a specific page you can add this to the url, so http://www.megagraphix.org/vat.htm will take you straight to a page called vat.htm
If you don't supply a page name, then you will be taken to the default page for the web site, as named above. The web server can be told to accept any page as the default page, but normally it is one of those shown above.
Make a new folder for each new web site - this is called the Web Root. Make sure all your other sub folders lead from this one, copying commonly used graphics if necessary, from one web site to another. No link can be made to graphics or other files unless they are stored inside the web root directory, or a sub directory.
